EASTER EGG

 

Ingredients

SPONGE CAKE n. 1
RICOTTA CHEESE gr. 250
POWDERED SUGAR gr. 100
CHOCOLATE CHIPS gr. 50
CANDIED MACEDONIA  gr. 50

ALMOND PASTE (or SUGAR PASTRY) COLORED

enough  
ORANGE FLOWERS WATER tablespoon 1

CINNAMON

pinch 1
CUSTARD CREAM or WHIPPED CREAM enough  

 

Cut the sponge cake into slices, and line the egg shape. Brush with marsala dry.

                                                         

 

Make the cream cheese, powdered sugar, candied fruit, chocolate chips, orange flower water and cinnamon.

                               

 

Fill the half-egg with the cream and leveling

                                                     

 

Cover with other slices of sponge cake, brush again with marsala and put it in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.

                             

 

Flip the egg on a serving plate. Cover the back of the egg with custard cream or whipped cream.

 

     

 

Blend the remaining sponge cake and sprinkle the crumbs on the cake. Roll out the marzipan and make a colored stripe. From this cut some pieces (see photo) to make the bow. The remaining tape should be placed around the egg .

                                      

 

 

                                      

 

 

If desired, instead of the crumbs of cake (mimosa effect) you can cover with melted chocolate.
